On Friday 2 September 2011 Soca heavyweight and author Machel Montano will be in New York City for the official Boy Boy and The Magic Drum book signing at Hueman Bookstore (2319 Frederick Douglass Blvd) from 2pm – 3pm. This book signing event will provide an opportunity to purchase Montano’s book as well as meet with the entertainer/author. The children's book promises to take the reader on a magical and thought provoking journey, with emphasis being placed on the magic drum (steelpan), culture and various other aspects.

It was earlier this year that the Soca star secured a worldwide distribution deal with DIP publishing; an Atlanta based book publishing powerhouse. This collaborative venture between Montano and DIP Publishing House will take the form of a book tour throughout the United States. A book signing also took place earlier this year at Nigel R K Booksellers in Trinidad and Tobago.
