Fya Empress
Lornette Nedd Reid
Country: St Vincent & The Grenadines
Bio

Singer / songwriter Fya Empress hails from the beautiful island of St Vincent. No stranger to the stage, she has quickly risen to prominence throughout the Caribbean for her contribution to this year's Born Bad riddim, produced by Alex Barnwell, with a track entitled Sak Passe. Her performance landed her third place in St Vincent’s 2011 Ragga Monarch competition, and has been hitting the airwaves across the soca music scene.

The artist’s previous singles, No Money No Wuk and Water, also made quite an impact during St Vincent's carnival season, and remain two of her most heavily rotated songs.

Fya Empress performs regularly at several hotels in Tobago together with versatile vocalist David Reid, aka Mr Fusion. The duo performs together under the name ‘Fire Fusion’; although they are both based in Tobago, they venture to St Vincent each year to participate in the island's carnival and its many competitions.

Fya Empress' most recent release, VIP Ladies, produced by Slaughter Arts from St Lucia, is already a favorite amongst the women. On a mission to develop her sound, and with a hunger to show the world what she has to offer, she recently won Best New Female Soca Artiste at the International Soca Award 2011, with the song No Money No Wuk.
