Stiffy crowned first ever Bashment Soca King in Barbados

Shane Atkinson, better known as Stiffy, captured the first ever bashment soca title in Barbados, in a competition that ended in the early hours of Saturday morning at the Kensington Oval.

Beating back a field of seven other acts, including Mole, Ramases and Lady Essence, Marzville & Snap Brandy, Coopa Dan, Farmer Ubu, Scrilla and Linskee, Stiffy triumphed with his current Barbados Crop Over hit, Tek Off Something. He walked away with a car, BD$6,000 in cash, a Sony stereo system, a trophy and a year’s free car valeting.
