Singer, songwriter, producer, engineer, entertainer, musician and promoter – the saying goes, ‘Jack of all trades, master of none’, but Konata has found a way to make it work, to gel them together into one seamless operation, each supporting the other. This is what makes him unique.

What made you want to enter UKSM?
I see the UKSM as an opportunity to build myself and reputation as an international entertainer.

How do you feel about the current state of soca in the UK/EU?
I think that there is definitely room for improvement by both the promoters and artistes/producers. However, I am excited with the path that it is currently on; it seems to be moving forward positively.

What do you think can be done to change the current state?
I think that artistes need to spend more time in the studio creating great music. Music is not something that you can rush. With that being said, this year had some really hot tunes for the UK artistes.

What can supporters and patrons expect from you on the night of the finals?
You can expect a high energy performance and a great stage show. Plenty Pumpments!…lol

Who do you think is your biggest rival will be on the night of the finals?
All the artistes entered in the competition have earned their places; we have entered on an equal footing and therefore I consider everyone a rival. I still plan to win though! lol
