About Carnival
Mas Domnik, Dominica's Carnival, is proudly known as the "Real Mas" for its dedication to preserving traditional Carnival customs. Held during the traditional pre-Lenten period, it is a vibrant celebration filled with calypso music, lively competitions, and exciting activities, all culminating in two exhilarating days of street jump-up.
The festivities officially begin about a month before, with an Opening Parade and ceremony that sets the stage for the spectacular celebrations ahead.
