Ebony Steelband continued their reign as the British Panorama champion, thanks to the exceptional talents of arranger Duvone Stewart. Performing Stewart’s arrangement of Olatunji’s beloved Engine Room, the steel orchestra outshone six worthy contenders at Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park on the evening of Saturday 26 August. Ebony now have an impressive 24 titles to their name.
In line with last year, Mangrove and Pan Nation secured the second and third spots, maintaining the hierarchy at the top level of the competition.
Notting Hill Carnival and the British Association of Steel Bands (BAS) organised this year’s Panorama.
