Nadia Batson continues to grow as a soca songstress, and has slowly become a more prominent name this Trinidad carnival season with every performance she delivers.
Nadia has been chosen as one of two headlining acts for Randy Glasgow’s ‘Soca For Her’ event, scheduled to take place this February. Speaking on his decision to enlist Nadia for the event, Glasgow said, “Our role in this industry isn’t all business. As a promoter, we engage talent and deliver opportunities for artists like Nadia and so many others, to live out their dreams, showcasing their ability to the world”.
Nadia, who has become a household name in the Caribbean soca scene, credits her rise in the industry to her team: manager and producer, Erikkson ‘Don Iko’ George and Avalon Gomez – a public relations and brand management maven – who have helped her to steadily carve out her career over the years.
In 2021, at the height of the pandemic, the Coconut Girl came together with her team and other entertainers including Lyrikal, Voice and Terri Lyons to present her Artform 3 – A Love Note To Carnival digital concert, recorded at Five Islands Waterpark. The show not only made an impression in the hearts of her fans, but also displayed her talent in its true light.
After spending most of her time in 2022 touring around the world, the Nothing Better singer is set to storm the stage with SASS at the Queen’s Park Savannah on Friday 3 February, where she will be joined by Patrice Roberts and the A Team Band.
