Terri Lyons is a Trinidadian soca artiste who is often referred to as soca royalty for being the daughter of soca legend Superblue. However, Terri has earned her claim to fame through her own diligence and remarkable talent.
Naturally, Terri Lyons grew up in a household that was filled with music and has been singing since primary school. She ascribes her love for music to her father. Since beginning her career at a young age, she has won multiple awards and acclamations.
In 2020, Terri won the Trinidad and Tobago Calypso Monarch competition with her performances of Obeah and Megan My Dear, becoming the fifth woman to win the coveted crown. After triumphing over 10 top-ranking female calypsonians from across the Caribbean, she was crowned Queen of Queens Regional Female Calypso artiste in Montserrat on 30 December 2022. And this multi-talented woman is also an award-winning actress for her lead role in the popular film No Soca, No Life.

Her song House Cleaning is a call to action for the community to stop condoning domestic violence and sexual abuse. It is a song that empowers people to regain control of their lives and to defend one another against perpetrators of crimes against humanity. During an interview about her stance, Terri stated: “So when I say ‘house cleaning’, it means that everywhere that is housing a particular group of people needs to be cleaned in order for our communities to be peaceful.”
