Trinidad soca legend Explainer (Winston Henry) has passed at the age of 74. He has given us a timeless soca classic, Lorraine. It’s a song that for so many of us marked our exodus from the cold countries we resided in back to the twin-island paradise of Trinidad and Tobago.
Explainer performed several times at the London Calypso Tent. Over the years he gave us gems such as Ras Mas, Horsey Horsey, Don’t Touch Meh Ras and Soca Link Up.
But he will always be remembered for Lorraine.
