The Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) has appointed tourism professional Wendy Lake as its new Destination Marketing Manager, effective Monday 1 June.
Lake brings more than 16 years of experience in Caribbean tourism marketing, with expertise in destination branding, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and promotion. She has worked across both public and private sectors, building partnerships and strengthening destination competitiveness.
In her new role, she will oversee the DDA’s central marketing team and lead initiatives focused on brand development, trade partnerships and data-driven campaigns across key markets. She will also coordinate regional and international promotional efforts to enhance Dominica’s global profile.
“I am excited and truly honoured to begin a new chapter as Destination Marketing Manager with Discover Dominica Authority,” Lake said. “I look forward to contributing to the promotion and marketing of beautiful Dominica, showcasing its rich culture, breathtaking natural beauty, authentic experiences, and warm people to the world.”
Chief Executive Officer and Director of Tourism Marva Williams welcomed the appointment, describing it as “a strategic addition to the organisation’s leadership.”
The appointment comes as Dominica continues to strengthen its position as a growing Caribbean destination, supported by a reported 15 per cent increase in visitor arrivals in 2025 and a continued focus on eco-tourism, wellness and authentic travel experiences.
