Released Date

Patrice Roberts has cancelled her annual ticketed I Am Woman concert and will replace it with a free show for fans.

The soca singer shared that this initiative was launched because people were facing financial challenges. She believes that “Carnival is for us and meant for us”, so everyone should be able to enjoy it no matter what. That is why she has made it her goal to keep Carnival open to everyone. She said music should be felt, not locked behind a price, especially in a season meant for connection and release.

The free concert will take place on January 22 at Flava, Queen’s Park Savannah. Roberts said she understands that not everyone can afford events this year, and that is okay.

“This year, I want to give you me,” she said. “No tickets, no barriers, no pressure to spend. Just music, love, and community.”

The event is open to all fans, families, and anyone who still wants to share in the Carnival feeling.
