Finally, Uber Taxi is now available in Saint Lucia and ready to take you wherever you need to go. Users only need to download the Uber app, submit a ride request, and be connected with the nearest licensed local taxi driver.
“Saint Lucia welcomes visitors from around the world, and this launch brings a familiar, app-based way to get around the island,” said Jorge Cordero, General Manager for Uber in Saint Lucia.
Once a trip request is accepted, the driver can see the estimated fare and the rider’s live GPS location, making pickups easier across the island.
“Uber Taxi connects tourists with licensed local taxi drivers, with upfront trip details designed to make exploring Saint Lucia more seamless.”
The launch was announced on 27 January 2026. Uber announced plans last year to introduce its services in Saint Lucia, following successful launches in Barbados, the Dominican Republic, and other markets.
Uber Taxi supports transportation through a range of safety features built into the app. These include real-time trip sharing, PIN verification, and in-app safety tools. Each licensed taxi driver must complete a verification process and submit valid documentation before receiving trip requests, reinforcing Uber’s focus on safety and trust.
