Alison Hinds has addressed fans in the Cayman Islands after she was unable to perform at the Cayman Fiesta Live event, which ran from 7 to 9 November 2025. The show was staged by Reynolds Entertainment Agency. In a video posted on her Instagram account on 14 November, the soca queen said she travelled to Cayman ready to work but was forced to step back because key parts of her contract were not honoured.
Hinds said her agreement requires all business matters to be settled before she goes on stage. She claimed this did not happen and described the situation as the result of poor planning and a lack of respect from the organisers. She added that the issue was not with the Cayman crowd, whom she has performed for many times, but squarely with the agency that booked her.
The singer also spoke about the problems that followed the event. She said that several artists and team members had to overnight in Jamaica, but learned on arrival that hotel rooms had not been paid for despite earlier assurances. The hotel’s front desk staff reportedly told the group that the card on file had been declined. Some artists also found that their return flights had not been confirmed.
Hinds said her own ticket and her assistant’s were secure, but her DJs booking was made for a time that did not match the group’s travel from Cayman. She called the entire experience worrying and disappointing.
The artist apologised to Cayman fans and stressed that she is not known for missing shows. She urged the public to understand that the promoter failed to meet obligations, which placed her in a position where she could not perform. She also suggested that the organiser should refund anyone who had to cover their own hotel costs or buy new tickets.
Hinds noted that the event itself drew a small crowd. She said this may be linked to the timing, as the show took place during Cayman’s Pirates Week, a major annual festival. She questioned why the organisers did not consider the clash during planning.
Hinds ended her message by advising artists and industry players to avoid working with the promoter unless conditions improve.
