The Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Museum, working with the University of Trinidad and Tobago, launched the David Rudder: A Contemporary Griot exhibition on Wednesday 21 January. The exhibition focuses on the life and work of David Rudder, one of the Caribbean’s most respected musicians.

At the opening, Rudder received a glass plaque to mark the launch. The event also included a musical tribute by Kees Dieffenthaller, with his brother Jon Dieffenthaller.

Visitors can follow Rudder’s career through displays that look at his songs, ideas, and creative process. The focus is on how his music reflects daily life and important national moments.
