Dominica’s Jazz and Creole Festival returns

After sitting on the shelf for two years due to the pandemic, Dominica’s Jazz and Creole Festival is back in action.

The 2022 Jazz Festival will feature five diverse jazz artistes and bands. Two foreign acts are included: Teddyson John from Saint Lucia and JSJ Trio from Guadeloupe. Local talent on the bill is represented by Femme 4 – Starsha (Marsha Laurent), Shalina Samuel, Marsha Augustine and Tasha Peltier. Other local contemporary jazz acts will be announced later.

The 11th edition of the festival is scheduled for Sunday 1 May at Cabrits National Park/Fort Shirley, Portsmouth. It’s described as an enterprise of the Ministry of Tourism, International Transport and Maritime Initiatives and Discover Dominica Authority.
