St. Thomas Carnival is underway, with a full calendar of activities. This year’s carnival which began on Saturday 8 April will culminate on Sunday 29 April, it is celebrated with the theme, “Illuminating our Culture for the World to See”.
Scheduled events include the Junior Calypso, Steel Pan and Teen Tramp competitions, J’Ouvert morning and the Children’s and Adults’ Parades.
St. Thomas Carnival 2023 is an initiative of the United States Virgin Islands and the USVI Division of Festivals. This year marks 71 years since 1952, when the festival was officially made an annual event.
