Kaiso Lime is the only place to hear Calypso this August

|

Released Date

Kaiso Lime returns this coming Saturday 9 August, with an evening of live calypso, extempo and soca in the heart of Notting Hill. Hosted by Smokey Joe, this free-entry event runs from 8pm to 10:30pm at The Tabernacle.

Organised by Talk Yuh Talk, Kaiso Lime is a regular monthly event, offering a platform for calypso music that blends storytelling, social commentary, and sharp wordplay. Audiences can expect powerful performances from veterans and rising voices in the genre.

On the next instalment of Kasio Lime, you can expect performances from Tobago Crusoe, Pat3ot, Justin (Redz aka Pan Fever), and Sheldon Skeete (Calypso Don) with a few surprises.

With a Carnival season void of any shows featuring the art form, be sure to make your way to the Tabernacle, where, in between performances, DJs Fats, Piper, and Soca Massive will keep the vibes flowing, delivering old and new rhythms.

Kaiso Lime offers a unique indoor experience that honours the spirit of the art form while creating space for laughter, commentary, and crowd interaction.
