Carnival lovers, get ready! A brand new mas band is about to hit the streets for Notting Hill Carnival 2026, with pure Caribbean heritage, wild storytelling, and the hottest Carnival designs around.
MASQ by Naitram is teaming up with ABIR Mas, the UK heavyweight in Carnival vibes. For the past 18 years, ABIR has pumped out non-stop energy and Dutty Mas madness, and now, 2026’s theme, “Celebration Time… Celebrating The Legacy” tips its hat to the trailblazers who set the pace for Caribbean culture in Britain.
But who really is MASQ by Naitram? Flip ‘Martian’ backwards, and you get Naitram – a name that’s all about turning things upside down and breaking the mould. MASQ is here for the dreamers, the wild ones, the people who know that Carnival is about leaving the ordinary behind and losing yourself in a rhythm that’s louder, freer, and out of this world.
Born in the Caribbean heat and kissed by Barbados’ golden sands, MASQ throws tradition and innovation together for a real Carnival explosion. With costumes that mash up culture and movement, the MASQ mark stands for rhythm, unity, and pure masquerade magic. And it doesn’t stop on the road, MASQ is set to bring that festival fire to fashion, sport, education, and more, creating moments that feel like pure Carnival euphoria.
MASQ by Naitram will join ABIR on Sunday for a high-energy Dutty Mas road experience, then present its debut UNLEASH band on Monday, a contemporary mas production inspired by Caribbean folklore. The band features three thematic sections: Anansi – Unleash the Mind, Mama D’lo – Unleash the Body, and Mama Sally – Unleash the Collective.
