The Monarchs of Mas Queen competition brought colour and excitement to Market Square, Scarborough, on Saturday 18 October, as part of Tobago Carnival 2025.
Ayanna Nedd was crowned Monarchs of Mas Queen 2025 with her costume Seraphina – Dark Angel of the Green Veil. Her strong performance and beautiful costume earned her 438 points, placing her ahead of the other contestants.
Dannel Salvery took second place with The Vengeance of Moko, scoring 422 points, while Nicole Moses-Beckles placed third with Queen Island Jewel – Celebration of the Majesty of Tobago.
The event, hosted by the Division of Tourism, Culture, Antiquities and Transportation, highlighted Tobago’s creative talent and love for mas. Secretary Zorisha Hackett presented the winner’s sceptre to Nedd and praised all participants for keeping Tobago’s culture alive through their work.
The Results Are:
1st: Ayanna Nedd – Seraphina – Dark Angel of the Green Veil
2nd: Dannel Salvery – The Vengeance of Moko
3rd: Nicole Moses-Beckles – Queen Island Jewel – Celebration of the Majesty of Tobago
Tobago Carnival 2025 is scheduled to take place from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 October.
