Culturama is a cultural festival that takes place in Nevis to celebrate a significant period in the history of the island; it is a commemoration of the emancipation of slaves in the 1830s. This year’s Culturama is to be held from July 27 to August 3.
As part of the week long focus on all aspects of Nevisian arts and culture, Culturama 47 will include activities such as Senior Kaiso contest, Soca Monarch contest and the Ms. Culture Swimwear and Mr. Kool contests.
The event is now open for registration; interested applicants can find registration forms at the Culturama Secretariat located in the Cotton Ginnery Mall, Charlestown, or online at Culturama 47. Completed application forms should be returned to the Culturama Secretariat on or before May 14.
