Residents and local businesses in west London have chance to find out what’s planned at this year’s Notting Hill Carnival on Monday 15 July.
The meeting will take place at 6.30pm at St John’s Church, Lansdowne Crescent (just off the southern end of Ladbroke Grove), W11 2NN.
There will be presentations from Matthew Phillip, executive director of carnival organiser NHCL, as well as the Metropolitan Police and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC).
Announcing the meeting, Phillip said: “This year’s carnival looks to be more spectacular than ever. The Carnival community has once again really pulled together… I look forward to answering any questions from local residents on this year’s event.”
For RBKC, Cllr Gerard Hargreaves declared: “The council is committed to making sure everyone can enjoy a safe and spectacular carnival. This is local people’s opportunity to ask us questions on the arrangements for this year and to highlight any issues.”
The official press launch will take place a few days later at The Tabernacle. Soca News will bring you news of any changes or expected developments as soon as they happen.
