The World Creole Music Festival (WCMF) has expanded its 2025 artist roster with the addition of two international headline acts: Masicka, the Jamaican dancehall star, and American R&B singer Kehlani. Their inclusion brings further global appeal to the festival’s silver‐jubilee edition, scheduled from Friday 24 October to Sunday 26 October at Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau, Dominica.
Masicka will perform on Night One: Fire & Foundation, a programme dedicated to trailblazing Caribbean music innovators. His arrival on the WCMF stage aligns with appearances from regional legends like Burning Flames (Antigua), Nu Look (Haiti/USA), Romain Virgo (Jamaica), Steel Pulse (UK/Jamaica) and others.
Kehlani is slated to perform on Night Three: The Grand Finale, joining an acclaimed lineup including Bunji Garlin & Fay‑Ann Lyons, Tiwa Savage, Kassav, Extasy Band, Da Fun Machine (Ezra), Reo, and other leading acts across genres from across the Caribbean and Africa.
This year’s festival features the theme Global Echoes of the Nature Island: Celebrating 25 Years of Creole Music, Magic, and Memories, marking the 25th anniversary of WCMF with a curated mix of local legends, regional icons, and global superstars over three nights of performances.
The festival’s official launch was held in early July, with Dominica’s tourism and cultural authorities unveiling the lineup and anniversary theme. The event is livestreamed through the Dominica Festivals Authority’s channels, with tickets available via dominicafestivals.com and social media platforms.
The addition of Masicka and Kehlani to the WCMF lineup reflects organisers’ intent to broaden the festival’s international scope while maintaining its celebration of Creole music and cultural heritage.
