St. Vincent and the Grenadines announces USD $20 Million Tourism Investment

The government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has announced a USD $20 million (approx. £16.3 million) investment to upgrade existing attractions and develop new tourism sites across the country, according to a report by eTurboNews.  

The initiative was revealed by the Honourable Carlos James, Minister of Tourism, during the State of the Tourism Industry Address and Stakeholders’ Conference held on 15 September 2025.  

Minister James said the landmark investment will focus on improving visitor experiences at established attractions while developing new products that showcase the country’s natural, cultural, and historical assets. The aim is to expand the tourism offering, extend visitor stays, and create new opportunities for communities and entrepreneurs.

“This investment signals our government’s commitment to strengthening St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ position as a premier tourism destination,” said Minister James. “By upgrading our sites and building out new attractions, we are creating opportunities for communities and ensuring every visitor has an authentic, memorable, and world-class experience.” 

Finance Minister Hon. Camillo Gonsalves added that the investment is key to national growth. “Tourism is the engine of our economy, and strategic investments such as this ensure we maximise its potential,” he said. “This is an investment in growth, sustainability, and inclusive development.”
