Tobago is getting ready for its annual carnival, a three-day celebration of music, mas, and culture. Since its start in 2022, the event has grown and now attracts people from home and abroad.
The excitement begins early with the Soca Titans Competition on Wednesday 22 October at Market Square Carpark. Hosted by the Tobago Festivals Commission.
On Thursday 23 October, the action moves to Bacolet Beach Club for THE BEACH, a neon-themed bonfire party presented by Bass Yard and Bacolet Beach Club. Running from 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM, the “Beach Glow” event will feature Nessa Preppy alongside Chucky Rayban, DJ Adam 2MV, and DJ D-Jam.
Carnival Friday kicks off with Stink & Dutty, dubbed “The Stinkest Fete of Carnival,” from 3:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Festival Park.
J’Ouvert is on Saturday, the traditional paint and powder street celebration in the early hours, before the weekend peaks on Sunday 26 October with the Parade of the Bands. Masqueraders in colourful costumes will flood the streets, bringing the festival to a lively close.
On the same day, Big People Cooler Brunch will be hosted at Carolina Point Resort in Crown Point. Running from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, it offers live music from Tobago Rhythm Section and gourmet food
Tobago Carnival 2025 runs from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 October.
