Well, there are some limits – no funder has a bottomless pot of money but the Arts Council portal for the new round of Unlimited is open and eager to hear from individuals, companies, collectives and partnerships with their proposals. The main criterion is that the work should be “creatively led by disabled people” – and of course that includes Carnival arts.
Proposals can include:
- • New commissions by artists based in England
- • International collaborations to make new work by artists based in England and Wales
- • Research and development projects (perfect to explore a new idea that has no clear outcomes yet) by artists based in England and Wales
- • New work or participatory projects/events by emerging artists, across all of the UK.
Initial submissions must be submitted to weareunlimited.org.uk/apply-to-unlimited by Monday 7 November 2016. Before you do, check out the very clear FAQs at: www.unlimitedimpact.org.uk/ready-set-go-the-unlimited-application-portal-is-open.
