Soca and dance music group Jus Now have released their new single, We Limin (The Weekend), through Road Music and Monk Music. The song celebrates the Trinidadian tradition of limin’, spending time together and enjoying each other’s company without a set plan. Mixing Caribbean and African styles with modern club sounds, it was produced with Trinidadian legend Leston Paul (known for Hot Hot Hot) and co-written with Afrobeats star Afro B. Vocals come from Serocee, Blasé Vanguard, and group co-founder Keshav, making it an upbeat anthem for weekends, parties, and festivals.
Jus Now was formed in Bristol in the 2010s by UK producer Sam Interface and Trinidadian musician Keshav Singh. They are known for bringing a fresh mix of Soca, Dancehall, and UK bass to Carnival music. Their work has earned them Grammy and Caribbean Music Award nominations and collaborations with artists such as Beenie Man, Major Lazer, Ms. Dynamite, and Machel Montano. In 2025, they won the Chutney Soca Monarch competition with Montano.
Their music has been used in campaigns for Apple, Fast & Furious, Nike, KFC Trinidad, and Zumba, and has received strong radio support from the BBC and other major stations. The group’s four-member live show has appeared at major festivals including Glastonbury and Tomorrowland. After a successful 2024, We Limin (The Weekend) marks the start of their 2025 UK tour, continuing Jus Now’s goal of blending Caribbean roots with global music and sharing the joy of coming together.
