North Tynside Steel Band

Founded in 1989, North Tyneside Steelband are one of the oldest bands in the North East and perform nationally and internationally at official, corporate and private functions. The band is a charity with the aim of advancing the abilities of children, young people and adults alike in the art of steel pan. The band would not be able to operate without kind donations for performances and busking, which allow the band to teach and promote carribean music to people across the North East.
