Frontline Radio is now 20 years old, that is, two decades since it first started broadcasting on 1st February 2006. The station was founded by Cleon Lord, also known as D’Mighty Hitman, who is a DJ, promoter, and producer. What began as a small project in London has grown into an online station with listeners and DJs from around the world, and they are now celebrating this growth.
Over the years, Frontline Radio has built a reputation for connecting people through music and supporting emerging talent. Many DJs who started on the station have gone on to successful careers in music and broadcasting. D’Mighty Hitman has also been involved in the Notting Hill Carnival as a judge, helping to promote local culture and music.
The station has received recognition for its work outside music, too. It was officially
recognised by the Mayor of Toronto for its efforts to raise funds for sick children, demonstrating a commitment to community and charity.
Faith and unity have been important to Frontline Radio since the start. The station continues to host gospel artists like Meme Gigi, Nelly B, Brother Aaron, and Brother Kris, who is now a pastor. Every Sunday, the station gives thanks and praise, keeping faith a part of its weekly routine.
Looking ahead, MistaKuskie, one of Frontline’s longest-serving DJs, has been named Station Manager and is expected to lead the station into the future. D’Mighty Hitman is focusing on online TV.
Frontline Radio broadcasts around the clock with a mix of music and shows for all listeners. The station continues to bring people together and plans to keep thriving for years to come.
