International superstar Ciara debuted at Trinidad and Tobago’s 2025 Carnival, immersing herself in the island’s culture while hinting at new musical ventures. The Grammy-winning artist was spotted “chippin’ down the road” in a stunning blue feathered costume, celebrating the festivities joyfully.
The How We Roll songstress was also on the island during the Carnival celebrations to promote her rum brand, Ten To One Rum, which she co-owns with Trinidadian entrepreneur Marc Farrell. She shared multiple videos on social media of herself enjoying carnival with a Ten To One Rum cup in hand, reinforcing the brand’s connection to Caribbean heritage. Marc Farrell, the owner, launched the rum in 2019, and Ciara joined as a co-owner in 2021.
During her visit, she admired the island, describing it as “beautiful” and confirming that this was her first but not her last time at the carnival. She also hinted at a possible soca project: “I think we need a good soca song for Ten To One. That’s next on the list.”
Ciara also embraced local culture, expressing her love for soca and sampling Trinbagonian cuisine. She named Machel Montano’s Pardy, Yung Bredda’s The Greatest Bend Over, and Kes’ Cocoa Tea among her favourites.
With the rum’s growing presence in the Caribbean and the U.S., Ciara’s debut at Trinidad Carnival proved that she pays an ode to the rich Caribbean culture, which resonates with the rum brand.
