Filmed at the Tudor Rose in October and broadcast on YouTube on 28 November, Miss Caribbean UK 2020 (MCUK) – now in its seventh year – was determined not to let Covid-19 rain on its parade.
The pageant, which aims to promote, educate, inspire and celebrate the historical and cultural impact of the Caribbean community within the UK, saw 9 finalists battle it out for the top spot. Miss Farrah Grant, a 22-year-old Biology student who represented Turks and Caicos, bagged the top prize of £1000.
Ashlea Smith, representing the Cayman Islands, and Gernice Haynes, representing Jamaica, were first and second runners-up, respectively.
