The Swiss Soca Festival, celebrated as The Swiss Caribbean Experience, will light up Zug with three days of music, culture, and celebration. The festival brings performances from Hypasounds, Jadel, Zamoni, Dymez x Dapixel, Cheem, Outta D Blue Steelband, DJ Stakz, Rusty G, Rebel Rango, and more. Highlights include the J’Ouvert Powder Fete, the Neon Fete, live soca shows, steelpan music, Caribbean cuisine, and two unforgettable cruises on Lake Zug.
The festival begins on Friday 5 September at Galvanik Zug with Soca Colours – J’Ouvert Fete (6pm–10pm), featuring outdoor music, Holi powder, Caribbean food, and DJs. Later that night, the venue hosts the Glow Fete – Neon Edition (10pm–3am), a party of lights, live shows, and DJs with a white-and-neon dress code.
On Saturday 6 September, Industrie45 hosts the Soca Lime – Family Fete (3pm–9pm), a free-entry event with book readings, steelpan music, food stands, and activities for children. The evening continues with Soca Fever (9pm–3am), a night of live soca and DJs.
The festival ends on Sunday 7 September with two cruises on Lake Zug aboard the MS Titan. The Day Boatride – Island Edition runs from 2pm–5pm, followed by D’Original Soca Cruise from 7pm–10pm, both offering music, live acts, and dancing on the water.
If you’re travelling from London, the easiest route is to fly into Zurich Airport and take a direct train to Zug. The journey takes just 30–40 minutes, with frequent services throughout the day, making it quick and convenient to reach the heart of the festival.
