Soca artist Adam O’Neal, known as Adam O, a St. Croix native and U.S. Marine Corps veteran, will deliver the keynote address at the University of the Virgin Islands 2026 Commencement Ceremonies on 14 May in St Thomas and 15 May in St Croix.
O’Neal, a former Soca Monarch Champion, has earned several industry honours, including the 2025 Virgin Islands Icon Award and Stage Award for Performer of the Year. He holds the 2024 British Virgin Islands Road March title. His discography features Warming Up, She Ready, Stress Bout Dat, and recent releases Body Tea and Strut.
In addition to his speaking engagement, O’Neal is co-hosting, with the US Virgin Islands Department of Tourism and the Division of Festivals, a free full-length concert titled “Adam O and Friends: The Garden” at the Festival Village. After ten years of military service as a Staff Sergeant, O’Neal brings his dedication and discipline to his music career.
