Triple Kay Combo heading to I Love Sewo Jam

Originating from Laudat in Dominica and founded by three friends, the Triple Kay Band is now home to nine artists who have nine albums, hundreds of songs and thousands of hours of worldwide performances to their credit.

The band comprises the trio of frontline vocalists – Sonic Tazzy (David George), Mr Benji N’O (Wayne Benjamin) and Ticky (Lennan Matthew) – along with Killa (Kendel Laurent), JJ Yout (Jeoffrey Joseph), Froggy (Jason Joseph), Zoubs (Ordel Hamilton), James Rodney (road manager) and Brush Head (Daniel Phillip).

The band’s music spans cadence-lypso, Haitian compas, zouk and bouyon, among other genres. Since their debut in 2002, they have become crowd favourites at the World Creole Music Festival. Triple Kay Band has also wowed audiences with standout performances in 2006 and 2010 at Antilliaanse Feesten Hoogstraten in Belgium, Terre de Blues Festival in Marie Galante in 2012 and at numerous carnivals around the world.

Triple Kay’s debut album was Big Ting (2000), subsequently releasing All Out (2006), Pressure (2007), Colours (2008), Allo (2009), Hush Your Mouth (2011) and Bubblin (2012).

In between high energy performances, the band has consistently released songs such as  Riddim In Your Blood (Bam Bam) ft Little Boy (2022), One Call Away (2022) and One Melody (2022) to keep their fans entertained.

As part of a commitment to give back to the community, the band has donated over $20,000 to the Education Trust Fund, $9,000 to the Dominica Council on Ageing, paid for the refurbishment of a youth centre in the Kalinago Territory, sponsored more than 20 primary and secondary school students through scholarships and has raised money to help those affected by Hurricane Ivan in Grenada and Tropical Storm Erika in Dominica.
