Released Date

Soca artist and DJ Ding Dong (Andre Holder) has released two new songs ahead of Tobago Carnival 2025, with plans for more leading into Trinidad Carnival 2026.

Ding Dong has been consistent in most carnival seasons. He performs with de All Starz Band and makes it a rule to work with a new producer and songwriter each year. “I dutifully work with a new producer and songwriter each year,” he said. For this season, he is collaborating with songwriter Emmanuel Rudder and producer Richard Gosine.

His first release, Wanna Party, is on the Guitar Man riddim, which also features Salty and Ms. Kerlz. “I’ve released ‘Wanna Party’ on the Guitar Man riddim. He’s been on the scene, but this is actually his first project, and the riddim is named after him,” Ding Dong explained. His second single, Mas Band Thoughts, came out on 12 September. It features DJ Spider and was produced by DJ Spider and Darien Bailey.

Ding Dong explained that he is building his music step by step, moving through different tempos. He has reached 115–130 BPM and plans to add two more songs before shifting into Power Soca for a complete set.

The artist has also lost about 16 kilograms (2.5 stones) on a strict fitness journey. “Documenting my weight-loss journey has shown people that patience and discipline is the key to growth,” he said.

With Tobago Carnival in October and Trinidad Carnival in February 2026, Ding Dong is preparing to deliver a more diverse catalogue for fans.
