Sucre (Nkosi Sucre), Trinidad and Tobago’s Youth Soca Champion, is preparing for a big year in 2026. Signed to Zig Boi Music Group, Sucre has been working under producer and CEO Mr Spine for two years, focusing on performance, studio work, and band experience.

Through this training, he joined the band Traffic,  “Traffic is a legendary band, however, the aim was to engage a younger audience, and the decision was made to form the Evolution Band – a youth-centred band that represents the younger demographic when it comes to music and entertainment.” His breakthrough came when he won the Youth Soca Champion competition, giving him a good start in the industry. Since then, Sucre has performed in St Maarten, opening for the Morgan Heritage Family.

Sucre’s latest release, Gimme Wuk Darlin, follows his 2025 release, Hold On Darlin. He says his goal is to motivate young people to follow their dreams and express themselves through music. A graduate of the University of the West Indies with a Music degree, Sucre is also credited with helping Guyanese artist Omaiah Hall win a Road March title.

Zig Boi Music Group continues to support him with full in-house production and promotion as the team prepares for the 2026 carnival season.
