Celebrating small-island soca and Caribbean culture in the lead-up to Notting Hill Carnival.
Small Island Soca Fete is a new London event created to celebrate the sound, culture and energy of the Caribbean’s smaller islands in the lead-up to Notting Hill Carnival.
This event was developed out of a desire to create more intentional visibility for islands whose music and cultural influence are strong, but are often not represented in a dedicated way on larger Caribbean platforms in the UK. Small Island Soca Fete brings that energy together under one roof, creating a space where small-island soca can be fully seen, heard, and celebrated.
Expect a high-energy night of music, vibes, and island pride, with DJs representing islands including Anguilla, Montserrat, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Virgin Islands and St. Martin/Sint Maarten.
More than just a fete, this is the start of a bigger movement to spotlight the smaller islands, their artists, their carnivals and their cultural impact.
Small but Large.
