About Carnival
Celebrating its rich heritage, Nottingham Carnival returns on Sunday 17 August 2025, from early afternoon into the evening at Victoria Embankment. This vibrant event features a colourful parade starting mid-afternoon, showcasing numerous troupes from Nottingham and beyond. The parade route winds through the local streets before returning to the Carnival site, where performers will entertain on the main stage.
Following the parade, the Carnival Village offers a full day of entertainment with multiple music zones featuring live bands, DJs, and steel bands. The music spans genres including Soca, Reggae, Afrobeat, Calypso, Salsa, RnB, Soul, Dancehall, Jungle, Grime, and Baseline House. Additional attractions include world food stalls, a licensed bar, fairground rides, and a dedicated kids' zone with activities for younger visitors.
Tickets are priced affordably, with advance purchase recommended. Children under 12 are admitted free.
