23-year-old Aché Abrahams, representing Trinidad and Tobago, emerged as the Miss World Caribbean title winner at the 71st Miss World pageant held in India.
Abrahams also placed in the top four of the overall Miss World Competition out of the 16 finalists who competed. She successfully showcased her outstanding beauty and poise while representing Trinidad and Tobago on the international stage. She will use her status to support this year’s national pageant by assisting, mentoring, and advising the top 15 contestants.
Supporters initially interpreted Abrahams’ victory in the continental competition as winning the Miss World Americas and the Caribbean title. However, subsequent clarification from the Miss World Organization led to some confusion, with Abrahams being identified as Miss World Caribbean, while Miss Brazil Letticia Frota was named Miss World Americas.
Speaking on the pageant, Co-franchise holder of Miss World TT Navin Boodhai mentioned, “We are extremely delighted that the Caribbean was given this level of equal standing and representation—similar to the Americas, Africa, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.” He further stated that Miss Abrahams, the newly crowned World Caribbean, will use the platform to advocate for her home country and the Caribbean region.
The Miss World 2024 pageant occurred on Saturday 9 March, in Mumbai, India.
