Atlanta embraces the spirit of the Caribbean as the 38th Annual Atlanta Caribbean Carnival unfolds in a spectacular display of music, masquerade, and multicultural unity. Presented by the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Bandleaders Association (ACCBA), the festival promises four days of unforgettable celebration.
This year, Trinidad and Tobago takes centre stage at the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival, with its rich legacy of Carnival, calypso, steelpan, and soca shaping the overall theme. Known as the birthplace of modern Carnival, T&T’s cultural influence will be front and centre across all major events.
“The Atlanta Caribbean Carnival has always been a melting pot of cultures and traditions. This year, we’re thrilled to honour Trinidad and Tobago for its rich contributions to Caribbean identity, music, and Carnival history,” said ACCBA President Patricia Tonge Edigin.
On Saturday 24 May, the colourful Carnival parade will launch from Truist Plaza on Peachtree Street, filling the city with rhythms, costumes, and the spirit of Caribbean unity.
Following the parade, the energy moves to Rodney Cook Sr. Park in Vine City for the official concert. The lineup includes Nailah Blackman, Skinny Fabulous, Motto, Olatunji, Trilla-G, Kiprich, and Korra Obidi, offering a powerful showcase of Caribbean talent.
Additional events in the Carnival season include the Children’s Carnival (Saturday 10 May), ACCBA J’ouvert (Friday 23 May), the elegant ‘Bonjour Très Belle’ breakfast fête, and the lively ‘Submerged’ cooler party on Sunday 25 May.
Atlanta Caribbean Carnival is scheduled from Friday 23 to Monday 26 May 2025.
