Mas designers have been challenged to create a headpiece for a Leeds Inspired commission called ‘I’m Carnival Happy’ to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Leeds Carnival.
Five headpieces will tour the city and used for 500 photo portraits, which will then be exhibited in various ways in the run-up to Leeds Carnival 2017.
According to Leeds Inspired, the project will raise the profile of the carnival and the carnival arts in general by engaging a wide variety of audiences across the city and beyond.
