The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board & Film Commission is spearheading the debut of the Virgin Islands Music Festival, which is a brand new 3-day music extravaganza providing attendees with a stunning backdrop of the 60 islands, rocks, and cays that make up the Virgin Islands hence the slogan, 60 Beats One Vibe.
The Virgin Islands Music Festival is set to showcase an impressive lineup of headlining artists, including Nigerian American actor and singer Rotimi, international soca artist Voice, international dancehall/reggae artist Alkaline, R&B legend Freddie Jackson, and BVI-based international soca band Vibe. The festival will feature diverse musical genres, promising world-class entertainment for attendees.
The festival aims to promote tourism and stimulate economic activity in the British Virgin Islands by spotlighting the destination as a cultural hub. Director of Tourism Clive McCoy expressed excitement about the event, highlighting the efforts of the BVI Tourist Board & Film Commission to bring back a significant music festival to the region after a hiatus since 2013.
The Virgin Islands Music Festival is set to take place over the US Memorial Day Weekend from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 May, in the Virgin Islands’ capital city of Road Town.
