Calypso Rose, aka but seldom referred to as Linda McArtha Monica Sandy-Lewis, is set to perform at the acclaimed Coachella festival on 12 and 19 April. Rose will appear amongst a host of big-name stars such as Childish Gambino, Janelle Monae, DJ Snake and Diplo.
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is held annually in the Coachella Valley, Southern California, and probably one of the better known festivals in the world.
Much-loved Calypso Rose has been enjoying unprecedented successes in recent years; the 78 year old veteran collected the ‘Grand Prix des Musiques du Monde’ award in France on 10 December last year, and has recently released Young Boy, featuring Machel Montano, for the 2019 Trinidad Carnival season.
