Thirty-seven artists have qualified for the semi-final of the twenty fourth Chutney Soca Monarch competition. Up to a hundred artists submitted songs, and they were reviewed by a screening committee who then chose the final 37.
The semi-final round will take place at The Rig, Gulf View, Trinidad on Saturday 26 January 2019 and the final will be on Saturday 16 February at Skinner Park in San Fernando, Trinidad.
Nishard Mayrhoo and Neval Chatelal are expected to defend their title.
