Saint Vincent and Grenadines has a new double calypso winner. Fya Empress was declared the winner of the Calypso Monarch competition. The contest, held on Sunday 9 July at Victoria Park, was a highlight of Vincy Mas 2023, which ran from Friday 30 June to Tuesday 11 July.
Her winning song, The Price Of Neglect, had already won Fya Empress the title of Calypso Queen last month.
Her past awards include the 2017 Vincy Calypso Monarch, the 2013 Ragga Soca Monarch and the 2012 Road March crown.
