As part of the Sint Maarten’s carnival festivities, the Roadmarch and Band Clash competition was held on Thursday 21 April at Carnival Village.
The competition drew out two-time reigning Roadmarch champion King James and other artistes including Olivia Murray, Solo Kween and HJ Gifted alongside Band Clash contestants such as Skillful Band, DCG and Zero Tolerance Band (ZTB).
Olivia Murray unseated King James and took home the victor’s crown with her song Oil On Me Skin with Solo Kween and Youri YMW as first and second runner-ups.
Skillful Band came out as the winner of the Band Clash competition with DCG and ZTB in second and third place positions respectively.
The band represented St Maarten at the Caribbean Flag Fest on Saturday 23 April 2022.
