Soca star Bunji Garlin (Ian Alvarez) has been awarded The Humming Bird Medal (Silver) for his contribution to culture and music, in a ceremony that took place on Sunday 24 September at the National Academy for the Performing Arts, Port-of-Spain.
The National Awards of Trinidad and Tobago recognise the contributions of those citizens and non-nationals who have had a significant and positive impact on the twin-island republic.
