Kapa Shanti (Jomo Proctor) hails from Guyana and has been on the journey of shaping his musical career for almost a decade.
Starting as a Reggae musician with hits like Never Get You Down, Kapa has collaborated with artists like Norris Man, Marlon Asher and Cappadonna of the Wu Tang Klan, Capleton and Macka Diamond. He transitioned into soca music and has performed alongside veteran artists such as Super Blue, Buju Banton and Machel Montano, which has contributed to solidifying his mastery of both the Reggae and soca genres over the years.
Kapa is part of a USA-based Guyanese music group, Dem Guyanese Boyz, which was birthed after the members, Kapa Shanti, Adriana Dutch, Gucci Boss, and Gaddie G composed Bend, which has now become a hit song in Guyana. Some of the songs include Gyal Fest, Whining Queen and Ride.
The Dat Body singer is surely building his pace as an artist with some of his solo tracks including Bubble 4 Me, Like You, Money, Love and GoGo Wine.
Kapa Shanti released his newest single, Always On My Mind in October.
