Karla Cornwall is an abstract expressionistic contemporary artist who specialises in original, collaborative platforms of bespoke artistry by pushing the boundaries of individualism and creative freedom using upcycled tools and materials which are transformed into unique artistic pieces.
Her exhibition, ‘Flow: The Art of Letting Go’ stems from creatively telling a story about her spiritual journey. In this, her first solo exhibition, Cornwall’s theme is the concept that the best versions of ourselves can come from a time of pain or weakness. Her work is built from fabrics of different types and textures, which colourfully and creatively depict the power of healing and overcoming.
Cornwall is inspired by having studied fashion at the London College of Fashion and her love for art, which has been a haven for her when she has been at her lowest. Cornwall’s solo exhibition is currently running at Campbell’s of London, 35 Thurloe Place, SW7 2HP until this Saturday 9 July. More information at Campbells of London.
