Kes The Band is to host and market IzWE, a series of scaled-down live concerts. The socially distanced concerts, which will comply with all Covid-19 protocols, will take place from 5 to 13 February. There’ll be a special live broadcast on Saturday 13 February.
The live concerts will celebrate soca and calypso music and Trinbagonian culture. Reigning joint Road March winner Kes will perform for 1,500 lucky patrons who will get to see and hear a variety of surprise special guests each night.
The venue for the five-night IzWe showcase is Sound Forge, a spacious, open-air multipurpose venue located off Mucurapo Road in Port-of-Spain.
“IzWe is a presentation of WE culture in all its different aspects… We are rallying together with the best of the best in the artform currently and celebrating the works of past greats, while bringing it into one place, one event, one moment where we all celebrate our culture together and in harmony and in unity,” explained lead singer Kees Dieffenthaller.
IzWe is being held in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism.
Limited tickets are available at kestheband.com at TT$300 per night for patrons attending the event. For international viewers looking to access the Saturday 13 February stream it will cost you US$10.00 at onlocationlive.com/product/izwe.
