Kevin Lyttle goes Platinum

|

Released Date

St. Vincent’s finest Kevin Lyttle has been certified with a platinum disk from the British music industry for sales and streaming reaching 1.2 million units for breakthrough anthem Turn Me On, as it turns 20 years old. The song has been a successful commercial hit because, although it remains clearly groovy soca to those who know, it was created to entertain a mixed cultural audience at events, festivals, concerts and carnivals all over the world.

Since 2003, Kevin Lyttle has accomplished a great deal. The remix of the single, featuring Spragga Benz, ranked number two in the UK charts, three in Australia and one in Denmark. Thereafter, the US charted Turn Me On at twenty on Billboard’s R&B / Hip-Hop chart, four on Billboard’s Hot 100 and five on the US Rhythmic chart – showing the love and appreciation for this wonderful calypso tune.

Moving on, we are in a new decade, and artists like Kevin Lyttle have made a huge impact on the dance scene. Cheat Codes featuring Dante Klein were the first to collaborate to remix Turn Me On into a dance tune, and now Luude ft Bru-C have entitled their version TMO (Turn Me On), still featuring Lyttle.
